Parents & Teenagers
Step away from historic patterns of behaviour to discover new and more positive ways to communicate.
CONNEXION GAME
Raising a teenager is challenging enough at the best of times, but when one or both of the caregivers suffer from PTSD, anxiety or depression caused by traumatic events in their working life – Parenting becomes a whole lot harder.
This therapeutic program is specifically designed for ADF, First Responders and Correctional Workers with family members between the ages of 12 – 17. Each program is limited to only four caregivers each with a teenager from their family unit.
Through experiential activities and psycho-education about PTSD, you and your ‘teenager’ will be encouraged to step away from historic patterns of behaviour to discover new and more positive ways to communicate.
This program will help you:
Break-down barriers
Provide education around the effects of trauma
Create shared awareness
Develop new patterns of communication
